It’s time to modernise our democracy and give the people we represent more say in what we politicians do in Canberra. When I first entered Parliament, I spoke about the need for politicians to do better to bring the people into the parliamentary process.
My inaugural vote asked the South Australian public to choose the topic of my senate question time question. With over 800 votes the first poll was a success with the winning topic being the management of the Murray Darling Basin. You can see the questions I asked and the government response below.
